Support Groups: Patients, Carers and Bereaved

By participating in the support groups, you can meet with others in a similar situation and experience mutual support while learning new skills.

An example of some of our support group sessions are:

  • Mets Meet; For those diagnosed with metastatic disease.
  • Men’s Group; For those diagnosed with cancer or another life-threatening illness, or a carer for someone in this situation.
  • Therapy Group for Young People; For younger adults (up to mid-40’s) who are living with a life-threatening illness.
  • Living with Bereavement; This is an opportunity to meet with others who have lost a loved one.

Mobile Therapy

Counselling: individual, couples and families

Dove House offers Individual, Couple and Family Counselling.  Spending time with an experienced counsellor can enable deeper understanding among family members. This can encourage the development of effective strategies for coping with the many pressures that illness creates.
