Creative Therapies (Art, Music and Journaling)

Creative therapy is a healing process that encompasses three relationships, the relationship of you with yourself, your relationship with the medium and your relationship with the therapist. Creative therapy can be a highly effective tool for people attempting to manage grief and loss, personal crisis, relationship issues, and physical and emotional trauma.

This is about making sense of words and thoughts, connecting to ourselves and to important others in our lives. It is about guiding ourselves safely through writing as a way of healing.

Art therapy is about combining psychotherapeutic support with the exploration of issues using art materials and practices.

Music therapy is the planned use of music to support people in times of loss, grief, and pain, reducing stress and anxiety through times of change or crisis.
